Washing and tumbling break down the leather and draw out a faded tone, after which every piece is individually worked by hand to add the scuffs and highlights that typically form at stress points over time. Because the distressing is done one jacket at a time, the placement and intensity of the wear vary from piece to piece, along with the natural creases and color shifts inherent to the leather itself.Structurally, the blouson takes its cues from vintage sports jackets, updated with practical touches for daily use. Hand-warmer pockets sit at the front, each concealing a zippered security pocket inside, while ribbed trims finish the shape and a polyester lining keeps the interior smooth.BEAMS cuts the jacket in what it calls a Wide Short Fit, pairing a roomy chest with a deliberately shortened length.
