BHP, Union Make Bid to Avert Strike at Top Chile Copper Mine

A union representing more than 1,000 workers at Escondida in Chile said it’s holding wage talks with operator BHP Group in a last-ditch effort to avert a strike at the world’s biggest copper mine.
