French Polynesian pro-independence and pro-autonomy groups unite to call for talks with Paris

On September 24, the Assembly of French Polynesia passed a resolution calling for a UN fact-finding mission to be established there. In 2013, the UN placed the French territory in the Pacific back on its list of territories to be decolonized.
