How States Are Remapping the Future of Plastic Packaging

The packaging industry is experiencing a watershed year in 2026. California has begun enforcing unprecedented Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mandates and is pushing new labeling laws, while many states have tightened recycled content (PCR) mandates, set EPR and PCR reporting deadlines, and/or banned certain packaging materials.
