Panama Panel Backs First Quantum Mine Restart to Fund ‘Closure’

A Panama ministerial committee is recommending that President Jose Raul Mulino’s administration negotiate a restart of an idled copper mine with First Quantum Minerals Ltd. as a way to fund an “orderly closure” sometime in the future.
